Mission principale

You will work across the full IoT solution lifecycle, from requirements, device selection and engineering design to integration, field deployment, testing, commissioning and support. The role combines hands-on engineering, electrical systems, sensors, connectivity, systems integration and real-time data. You will also be involved in electrical panel design, technical drawings, onsite installations and supervision of implementation works .

Responsabilités clés

• Design, prototype and implement IoT and IIoT solutions based on customer requirements.
• Configure and integrate sensors, controllers, gateways and communication devices.
• Design electrical and control panels for IoT, automation and monitoring solutions.
• Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and technical drawings.
• Prepare equipment layouts, installation drawings and technical specifications for project implementation.
• Select appropriate electrical components, protection devices, power supplies, controllers, sensors and communication equipment.
• Install, calibrate, test and troubleshoot IoT devices and field equipment.
• Integrate devices with NAVEO platforms, cloud or on-premises systems and third-party applications.
• Work with protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs and TCP/IP.
• Support connectivity using Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4G/5G, NB-IoT, LTE-M, LoRaWAN and Bluetooth.
• Configure real-time data acquisition, device monitoring, alerts and diagnostics.
• Conduct site surveys and assess electrical, communication and installation requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise onsite installation, cabling, panel installation and commissioning works.
• Supervise contractors and technicians to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality and safety requirements.
• Conduct testing and commissioning and verify completed installations against project requirements.
• Diagnose hardware, electrical, network and communication issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, installation records, test reports and commissioning documentation.
• Work closely with software developers, project teams, suppliers, contractors and customers.
• Research and evaluate new IoT, edge computing, automation and AI technologies.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly for technical research, diagnostics, engineering analysis and documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of NAVEO’s IoT products and engineering practices.
• Qualifications and Experience
• B.Eng in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering .
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in IoT, electrical engineering, electronics, automation, instrumentation or telemetry.
• Practical experience with sensors, gateways, controllers and connected devices.
• Experience in electrical/control panel design and component selection .
• Experience preparing or reviewing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and technical drawings .
• Practical experience in onsite installation, testing and commissioning .
• Ability to coordinate and supervise technicians, contractors and installation works onsite.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, REST APIs and TCP/IP.
• Understanding of wired and wireless connectivity technologies.
• Ability to read technical datasheets, electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and spoken English and French.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on customer/project sites.
• The following would be an advantage:
• Experience with LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M or industrial communications.
• Experience with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, PLCs or industrial gateways.
• Knowledge of Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript or Node-RED.
• Experience with Azure IoT, AWS IoT or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of RS-232, RS-485, Modbus RTU/TCP or CAN bus.
• Experience with Building Management — Systems (BMS), industrial automation or instrumentation.
• Experience with edge computing, telemetry, dashboards or time-series data.
• Understanding of IoT security and secure device communication.
• Experience with smart infrastructure, environmental monitoring, energy monitoring or industrial IoT projects.
