System Engineer – Cross Architecture

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer – Cross Architecture to provide technical pre-sales support across the Cisco portfolio, including Enterprise Networking, Security, Collaboration, Data Center, and Hybrid Cloud solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with sales teams, channel partners, system integrators, and Cisco account teams to design integrated, end-to-end technology solutions that address customer business and technical requirements. This role requires broad technical expertise across multiple Cisco architectures, strong solution design capabilities, and the ability to position business outcomes through integrated Cisco technologies. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical pre-sales support across Cisco Enterprise Networking, Security, Collaboration, Data Center, and Hybrid Cloud solutions. * Engage with channel partners, system integrators, and enterprise customers to understand business and technical requirements. * Design end-to-end solution architectures that integrate multiple Cisco technologies and align with customer objectives. * Prepare high-quality solution designs, Bills of Materials (BoMs), technical proposals, Statements of Work (SoWs), and responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. * Deliver technical presentations, solution demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements. * Recommend appropriate Cisco architectures, licensing models, and subscription solutions based on customer requirements. * Collaborate with Cisco account teams, Business Unit specialists, and internal sales teams to support strategic opportunities. * Provide technical guidance during solution positioning, pricing discussions, and deal registration. * Conduct partner enablement sessions, technical training, and architecture workshops. * Stay current with Cisco product updates, software releases, competitive technologies, and industry best practices. * Support technical escalations and maintain architecture documentation, design templates, and best practices. * Mentor junior pre-sales engineers and contribute to technical capability development within the organization. Required Skills * Strong knowledge across multiple Cisco technology architectures, including: o Enterprise Networking (Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, Catalyst Center) o Security (Secure Firewall, Secure Access, Duo, ISE, Umbrella, XDR, SSE/SASE) o Collaboration (Webex Suite, Calling, Contact Center, CUCM) o Data Center (Cisco Nexus, UCS, ACI, MDS, Intersight) o Hybrid Cloud and Cloud Networking * Good understanding of solution integration across networking, security, collaboration, and data center technologies. * Knowledge of Cisco licensing models, Enterprise Agreements (EA), Managed Service Provider (MSP), Managed Services License Agreement (MSLA), Smart Licensing, and subscription-based offerings. * Experience preparing technical proposals, architecture documents, BoMs, and solution presentations. * Strong customer-facing, presentation, communication, and consultative solution-selling skills. * Familiarity with automation, APIs, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Python, or REST APIs is an advantage. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field. * 5–10 years of experience in Cisco pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting. * Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Collaboration, or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is an advantage. * Multi-architecture certifications or equivalent practical experience are highly desirable. * Experience working with Cisco distributors, partners, system integrators, or enterprise customers. Preferred Skills * Experience designing multi-architecture solutions that integrate networking, security, collaboration, and data center technologies. * Knowledge of Cisco Hybrid Cloud, automation, observability, and AI-driven operations. * Understanding of Cisco partner programs, Enterprise Agreements (EA), MSP, MSLA, and software lifecycle management. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and solution design skills. * Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Experience delivering partner enablement sessions, technical workshops, and executive-level presentations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Technical win rate on supported opportunities. * Revenue influenced through pre-sales engagement. * Number of partner technical enablement sessions and workshops delivered. * Successful completion of PoCs and solution validations. * Accuracy and quality of solution designs, BoMs, and technical proposals. * Customer and partner satisfaction. * Achievement of technical certification and enablement objectives. * Timely support for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and strategic opportunities. * Contribution to cross-architecture business growth and partner technical capability.
