Responsabilités clés
- Work as part of the Investment Advisory team under the direction of the Investment Manager, contributing to a professional, collaborative, and quality-driven environment Provide independent sign-off within the department's four-eyes framework — either on trade execution or on new-business client cases — ensuring accuracy, suitability, compliance, and alignment with client mandates and investment strategies Rotate sign-off responsibilities and specialisms (including Pension and Life business) with fellow Senior Investment Officers on a scheduled basis Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of investment advisory procedures, in line with internal policies, FSC and other regulatory requirements, and industry best practice Monitor and assess portfolio performance against benchmarks and client objectives, flagging recommendations to the Investment Manager Deliver well-informed investment advice reflecting clients' financial objectives, risk appetite, and capital preservation needs Conduct research and analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and individual securities, and stay abreast of geopolitical and macroeconomic developments relevant to portfolio strategy Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, routing team-level and management communications through the Investment Manager Work closely with Compliance, Operations, and other functions to uphold applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards Support the team's adoption of technology and AI to automate repeatable tasks, freeing capacity for higher-value analysis and client work Provide technical coaching and knowledge-sharing to Investment Analysts and Junior Investment Analysts when asked to do so by the Investment Manager (people management, work allocation, and appraisals sit with the Investment Manager) What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field A postgraduate qualification or professional designation (Master's, CFA, CISI Level 4/6, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services, including at least 3 years in an investment advisory, portfolio, dealing, or investment operations role Demonstrable experience operating within a regulated environment (FSC Mauritius, DFSA, FCA or equivalent) and comfort working within a four-eyes control framework Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to advisors, clients, and regulators High attention to detail, disciplined organisational and time management skills, and evident comfort with technology, data, and AI-assisted workflows A collaborative disposition — genuinely happy to operate as a senior technical peer within a team, without seeking line-management responsibility If this sounds like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a senior, hands-on technical role within a growing, collaborative team — not a people-management role. Reporting to the Investment Manager, you will act as a key second pair of eyes within the department's four-eyes control framework, providing sign-off authority on trades or new-business cases, contributing to investment research and client advice, and working alongside fellow Senior Investment Officers, Investment Analysts, and Junior Investment Analysts as an equal member of the team. This role is open to Mauritian nationals and permanent residents, or candidates who already hold the right to work in Mauritius.
