Grounds Laborer

Main mission

This role exists to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces as part of a unique U.S. Navy program.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure regular maintenance of outdoor areas to improve their appearance and compliance with standards.
• Maintain and clean stormwater drainage systems to ensure proper water flow.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
• Collect and remove waste and debris from outdoor areas to maintain a clean environment.
• Install and maintain plants and shrubs to ensure their growth and health.

Key skills

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with common landscaping tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
